I finally got this mounted on a foamboard covered with dark fabric. This is my first goldwork and I really treasure it. I have learned a lot of new techniques.
Here is the vestment as it was worn by the wooden image, right after it was finished.
I did not embroider the CAPE.
Image,cape and accessories owned by my embroidery teacher.
Finished after 82 hours (from design to dressing up the image).
Materials are sythetic metallic threads, cords, disks and beads and velvet cloth.
Dressing up the image is not the same as dressing up a human being. It was tricky because the hands and legs do not bend, but they could be removed from the wooden body.
