The iris symbolizes communication and the butterfly for new beginning.
I am thinking of stumpwork, detached petals with wired edges for some petals and for butterfly wings. The grasses will be different yarns and ribbons. The helmet in padded appliqué. The leaves will be raised stitches and detached needlelace.

Hi meri! 🙂 Sure I will post the WIP photos. But I do not know how to stumpwork yet. lol!
I am working on a needlelace sampler. I am learning needlelace stitches at the moment. I thought it would be uninteresting for others to see the WIPs. If you like, i will post my present project. 🙂
